This Chaney Temperature Wireless Sensor has range which is approximately 100 feet in open air, the range will be reduced somewhat passing through normal walls. Steel walls or siding may block the signal entirely, in which case you may need to use the wire probe attachment to get around the problem. It is recommended to place the remote indoors and run the included probe wire outdoors to measure outdoor temperature. The LCD and the batteries in the remote do not perform well below -12 degree per Fahrenheit.
