Every instrument contains two of Porter's own combs, each with 76 teeth that play the richest, fullest music imaginable from an instrument this size. The complete, spring-wound clockworks which drive a 15-1/2 inch copper-plated disc, are also manufactured to the strictest standards. A gentle winding will provide 20 minutes of uninterrupted music, showcasing five octaves and a dazzling harmonic range. The convenience of an optional electric motor is often preferred to hand winding.
This Music Box is designed especially to complement this box, the companion cabinet displays the same fine wood inlay and matching motifs. An heirloom itself, the cabinet securely stores approximately 200 discs.
