The country styling and functional sleeping space are combined in this wonderful Powell Country Pine and Matte Black Twin/Futon Bunk Bed. The top twin size bed and lower full size futon bed are great for siblings, sleep-over, and story time. Beds can stack as bunks or be separated into two separate beds. It is designed and engineered with safety in mind. The Bunk Bed has heavy gauge metal tubing, full length guardrails, and sturdy welded metal slat system for mattress support. The ladder can be attached on either side of bed. Only use a twin size mattress which is 74 to 75 inch long and 37.5 to 38.5 inch wide on the upper bunk. The bunk bed is tested and certified by an independent testing laboratory to meet all minimum requirements of ASTM F1427-04 and U.S. CFR Title 16 Part 1513. The maximum total weight is not to exceed 300 Pounds on the upper bunk.
